Eye Care in the Pharmacy

Eighty per cent of vision loss and blindness is associated with five main eye conditions; age-related macular degeneration; cataract, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma and uncorrected refractive error. Up to 75% of vision loss is preventable or treatable if detected early.

Clinical skills acquired through this session will empower pharmacists to improve the quality of their practice and
establish connection with the local healthcare team in promoting eye health and making a difference in the community
